LADOT joined the TAP network June 2012. The TAP fare collection system is a new way for riders to pay Commuter Express and DASH fares. Since June, LADOT has begun accepting stored value (cash) on the TAP card for fare payment. Beginning September 1, EZ transit passes will also be loaded onto TAP cards. Later this Fall all LADOT paper passes and tickets will be converted to the TAP card.
For more information about using the TAP card on LADOT buses, please visit our TAP Frequently Asked Questions page.
